How it works

The practical part.

How the funding works

Household cleaning generally falls under Core Supports — assistance with daily life. To be funded it has to be reasonable and necessary, and related to your disability rather than a general preference. Your plan manager or support coordinator is the right person to confirm what your plan covers, and they can usually answer it on the spot.

How you are invoiced

Plan-managed: we invoice your plan manager directly. Nothing comes out of your pocket and you do not chase paperwork.

Self-managed: we send you an invoice with the correct support item and our details, ready to claim through the myplace portal. [Confirm the current support item against the NDIS Pricing Arrangements before your first invoice.]

Who we work with

We work with self-managed and plan-managed participants across Sydney. If you are not sure which you are, your plan manager or coordinator will know — and if we are not the right fit for your plan, we will say so early rather than after an appointment.

What’s different

Why people stay with us.

The same cleaner, every visit

You should not have to explain your home, or yourself, to somebody new each fortnight. One person, who learns how you like things done and remembers it.

We ask before we move anything

Things are where they are for a reason. If something needs moving to clean under it, it goes back exactly where it was, and we ask first if we are unsure.

Told in advance, every time

If your cleaner is sick or running late, you hear it from us before the time rather than after it. No unexplained no-shows and no strangers at the door.

Pricing

What changes the price.

A fixed price per visit, quoted before we start and held there.

Your plan

What is funded, and how often. We work to the hours in your plan rather than suggesting you need more.

Property size

The same basis as any other job — floor area and bathrooms.

Access needs

Anything we should do differently. Tell us once and it goes on your file, not repeated every visit.

Frequency

Weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Change it whenever your plan or your needs change.

Questions

The things people ask first.

How do I know if cleaning is in my plan?

It usually sits under Core Supports, as assistance with daily life. Your plan manager or support coordinator can confirm it in a minute, and they will know your funding better than we do. If it is not funded, we will tell you rather than invoice you and hope.

Do I pay you directly?

If you are plan-managed, no — we invoice your plan manager and you never handle it. If you are self-managed, we send you a compliant invoice with the correct support item on it, which you claim through the portal.

Can I choose who comes to my home?

Yes. You meet your cleaner on the first visit, and if it is not the right fit you can ask for somebody else without needing a reason. It stays the same person after that.

What if I need to cancel at short notice?

Give us 24 hours where you can. We understand that is not always possible with health, and we will not make an issue of a genuine short-notice cancellation.

Do you work with support coordinators?

Yes, often. A coordinator can set the whole thing up on your behalf and be copied on the paperwork — just give them our number.

Is there a minimum term?

No. No contract, no minimum, no exit fee. Change the frequency, change the day, or stop, and tell us whenever suits.

Tell us about the place.

Household cleaning can be funded from Core Supports as assistance with daily life, where it is reasonable and necessary because of your disability. If it is in your plan, we can do it — the same rooms and the same written checklist as every other job we take.
